The Crosby Wedding

Insert googly eyes here. I don't even know where to begin. Veronica had an incredible vision for her wedding and I honestly did not want to tinker with it too much. A girl after my own heart, she had been collecting her own floral vessels and candlesticks, sewed all the table-runners, did all the water-coloring, dyed her own napkins and had the design savvy idea to alternate between two shades of pink taper candles throughout the space. O and the groom-to-be built the escort card backdrop and a wooden bar that would make any woodworker jealous. Yeah...I was not about to mess with that design. Ok, ok I did add in a few elements but they were minimal in comparison. What? I can't help myself. :) Ryan from Ryan Greenleaf Photography is one seriously talented fella. I am still in awe of the moments he captured.

I spent an absurd amount of time thinking about the flowers for Veronica and Peter's wedding. Countless trips to the market and lists went into this design. Ultimately there is only so much planning that can go into florals. I like to give myself a direction and let the flowers at hand take control of the creative process. This bouquet will forever be one of my favorite creations. The overall count of garden roses used throughout the wedding was insane. Enjoy!

How incredibly gorgeous is she?! The dress, the hair- perfection.

It is no secret by now that gold makes my heart flutter. I have been waiting to use glittery washi tape and my metallic containers for some time. I don't think it will ever get old seeing ideas translated on film. Especially when it is shot by Ryan Greenleaf.

Levyland Estate Carlsbad Wedding

I love everything about this couple and well their entire family for that matter. I cried and laughed so many times during this wedding I lost count. Brianne and Mark are just plain wonderful and I could not have been more thrilled to be apart of their big day. Weddings like this- that are incredibly meaningful and exceptionally fun are why I love my job.

Levyland is an incredible venue that sits on a picturesque lagoon just beyond the ocean. One of my favorite stylistic decisions Brianne and I made was to hold the ceremony in a unique location on the property. In order to keep with the rustic atmosphere of the wedding we decided to have the ceremony in one the the parking lots instead of the grass lawn. I know what you are thinking BUT this was not your typical "parking lot". In May the lot was covered in wildflowers and boy do I mean covered!

Can you believe Brianne made all the signs herself?! She blew me away with her hidden talent!

It was such a special touch to have both Mark and Brianne's parents wedding photos on display. I can honestly say it was amazing to see these two families and the amount of love and support they have for Mark and Brianne. One of the most memorable events of the night is when Brianne's father surprised the newlyweds and performed a traditional Hawaiian song during the reception.

Ramona Engagement Shoot

These two. Where do I begin? Red hair, tattoos, a beard and sassy personalities are some of my favorite things in life. Lucky for me I have these two amazing souls to help me get my fill. Shannon and Erik are one of those couples that seem like opposites yet are a completely perfect match. Erik is quite the romantic fella and always has Shannon smiling. Case in point, he surprised Shannon with a honeymoon trip to London! When it came time to plan their engagement shoot the couple wanted to keep it simple. Tucked into the winding roads and hills of Ramona, San Diego is Barnett Ranch Preserve. This tranquil landscape with golden grass is a hidden gem and set the serene, romantic tone of the shoot. When Shannon asked me to create a bouquet for her I decided to select blooms that would compliment the wild countryside.  And really, who can resist giant dahlias? No one. Enjoy!

I don't think they can be more perfect if they tried! I cannot praise Amy (the photographer) enough. Since I was on site with the trio during the shoot I was able to see her work her magic firsthand. Amy has this wonderful ability to make people feel comfortable and as a result her sessions end up being a truly fun experience. And can we talk about the quality of her work? So, so good. Circle Oak Ranch Shoot

Sometimes after a long wedding season a girl just needs to let her heart run wild with flowers. Especially when peonies come out to play. Particularly when a great group of creatives are free. And most Importantly when you have a ridiculously good looking couple and a dress that will make your jaw hit the floor.

Palm Springs is one of those great places where the past meets the present. It is a place where color and personality are in absolute abundance. The Saguaro Hotel has no shortage of both. After all, it is a hotel that resembles a rainbow! When the lovely Ashley of Ashley Williams Photography asked me to participate in a shoot here I jumped at the opportunity.
