Olivenhain Meeting Hall Photoshoot

When I discovered that bleached peacock feathers actually exist my world changed. My mind started racing and I did not get much sleep that night.  A week later I met Janet from Love Janet Photography and well folks, the rest is history. For this shoot I decided to show off my softer, more romantic side. The Olivenhain Meeting Hall was the perfect location. Historic, rustic and can we talk about that lighting? Yeah, insane. Although my favorite part of the entire shoot is the "I love you" sign on the cake. Zack made it for me back in college. I know, he's a keeper.

Nicole & Daireus

When I found out my sister was getting married I was beyond excited!! Nicole and Daireus both have an love of travel, him being a pilot and her being a dreamer and all. Therefore the underlying travel theme for their wedding was the perfect fit.

Aren't those planes to die for?! My fiance was actually the mastermind behind them. I would like to say it was because he can also be super crafty but the real idea came from his love for sweets.

I love first looks. I know, I know some people are still against them and I totally get that but I think there is something so sweet and intimate about a first look. Daireus completely melted at the sight of Nicole both during the first look and at the ceremony. I think we all lost it when they set eyes upon each other.

Leucadia Pop-up Event

What has the intrigue of a secret society and a lust determined to satisfy your appetite? Clandestino. A {secret} underground restaurant offering diners with an intimate experience. Brittany, the mastermind behind this local gem is a gal with an innate hosting ability and unique taste for life and adventure that resonates in her food. I have been lucky to experience Brittany's cooking first hand and let me tell you, it was good. It was damn good.

I was lucky enough to help out this foxy lady at a pop-up shop in Leucadia a few months back with some pretty flowers and rental items.

Clandestino hosts the dinners in a different and secret location throughout Encinitas and Leucadia. Once a location is secured Brittany creates a menu and theme for the night and sends out an e-mail to everyone on her invite list. Seating is limited and ranges from 15-25 guests per dinner, therefore you have to move fast to secure your plate. From there all you need to do is show up and enjoy a dining experience featuring all things local. Did I mention the meal is usually about 5 courses? In addition to the wonderful food, you get an opportunity to meet and mingle with other people you otherwise might not have.

Want to get on the exclusive invite list? Send an email to clandestino92024@gmail.com to get notified of upcoming dinners.

10 things you might not know about me

1. I am only about 5' tall, but don't let that fool you because I can be quite a pistol.

2. I can only go a few days without crafting or creating something. Otherwise I literally start to go stir crazy!!

3. I am utterly infatuated with shows that try to uncover monsters/aliens and other creatures that lurk in the shadows. Big foot and Nessie are among my favorites! Hey, the world is full of surprises, I like to keep an open mind.

4. I have random bursts of energy which usually end in me creating sweet dance moves that often provoke a "you are so weird" response from my fiance (although I know he secretly loves it).

5. I don't really like to sleep. I love staying up into the wee hours of the morning and enjoy waking up early so I don't feel I've wasted my entire day.

6. I believe hot sauce and salsa are a food group. Furthermore, if you have never eaten a California burrito from Juanita's Taco Shop in Encinitas, you haven't lived!

7. When I was little I wanted to be an anaconda/shark hunter. Now, I hope I never run into these beasts. Unless of course I am on my cage-diving excursion- which I fully intend to do some day!

8. I am incredibly sentimental.

9. I am currently planning my next tattoo, which I will ge getting before my wedding.

10. I believe the good in the world outweighs the bad.

{11. I would much rather be behind the scenes than in front of the camera!}
